SHORELINE SIGHTSEEING SCHEDULES
ST. PATRICK’S DAY CRUISES

Chicago, IL: Repeating what has become a popular tradition, Shoreline Sightseeing will once again offer two special St. Patrick’s Day Cruises on Saturday, March 14th — one before and one after the Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade.  The pre-parade cruise will be from 10:00 am to 11:30 am and the post-parade cruise will run from 2:00 to 3:30 pm, both departing from Ogden Slip at Navy Pier.  Passengers will cruise the historic Chicago River while dining on a traditional Irish buffet featuring corned beef, cabbage and potatoes.  Cruises also include traditional Irish background music and a special presentation by one of Shoreline’s professional architecture docents highlighting the role the Irish community played in shaping modern Chicago.  Tickets are $29.00 for adults, $27.00 for seniors and $15.00 for children 12 and under.  Complimentary soda and coffee is included.  A cash bar will also be available.  Tickets are available by phone or online: 312-222-9328 or www.shorelinesightseeing.com

This is the third year that Shoreline is offering their special St. Patrick’s Day cruises. “Our cruises have been very popular,” said Shoreline owner Chip Collopy. “It’s a special day for the Irish and for all Chicagoans.  While my family can trace their roots back to Ireland, I think everyone is at least a little bit Irish for St. Pat’s day,” said Collopy.  “Our cruises offer a unique way to celebrate this once-a-year occasion.”

Shoreline Sightseeing will begin their official 2009 season with weekend Architecture Cruises and Skyline Boat Tours beginning April 1.  Now in its third generation of family ownership, Shoreline Sightseeing celebrates their 70th season on Chicago’s waterways in 2009.
